During dispensing, high-resolution imaging continuously quantifies particle distribution and surface coverage in real time.
The green region in the camera’s field of view corresponds to the required ATR contact area. Once the algorithm determines that the specified percentage of this region contains a uniform powder layer, dispensing stops automatically, ensuring optimal optical contact and reproducible spectral performance.
This vision-based approach eliminates variability from manual loading methods and bypasses the need for secondary measurements. The result is controlled sample morphology, consistent packing density, and superior repeatability across large sample batches.
While FTIR acquisition is underway, the system automatically prepares the next sample, enabling continuous, high-throughput operation.
